• A12 75 jaar
Sinds 1975 rijden wij over de A12. Vooral naar mijn ouders in Woudenberg, toen zij nog leefden, maar ook om gewoon ‘het land in te komen’. De A12 is voor iemand die in Den Haag woont en in Nederland fotografeert nauwelijks te omzeilen. Of je moet, wat ik nogal eens doe, de provinciale weg pakken en genieten van het landschap. De laatste jaren is de A12 op last van de vooruitgang op veel plekken onherkenbaar verminkt. Daar lijkt geen eind aan te komen. Vanmiddag was iedereen blij en trots. En ik eigenlijk ook wel een beetje. Wat moet ik zonder de A12.

• met Liset Noorduyn (foto!) op de A12 van Woudenberg naar Den Haag met Boris en Carlos in de VW Kever (ca. 1979)
• parkeerplaats Bijleveld', vroeg in de ochtend op pad voor de Atlas van Nederland met mijn vriend Wim Zaat in het 'Gele Monster', Renault 4TL, 1986

I shot three B&W films during the concert, this is the third one: Kodak Panatomic X. Don’t know why. It is only 32 ASA. Still I must have pushed it a bit. The grain looks wonderful.

On the 16th of februari 2010 we visited London to see Todd. The Apple Store was impressive. Great atmosphere. I kept on thinking though about ‘the good old day’s', when we were considered as pioneers or fools using a Macintosh…….

On the 6th of october 2011 we were London to see….. Todd, himself being a pioneer in using the Mac. Steve Jobs’ death was announced. Could not resist to go back to the Apple Store.

Introduced along with the Mac II in March 1987, the Macintosh SE came with 1 MB of RAM, one or two double-sided 800K floppies, and space to mount an internal SCSI hard drive (the second drive bay held either a hard drive or second floppy – no room for both, although that didn’t stop some people from creating a bracket to mount a hard drive in a two-floppy SE). The SE was the first compact Mac with a built-in fan.
